Natural Pet KeepingI've wanted to keep tortoises for as long as I can remember, but didn't start to seriously research different species care and requirements until my mid teens. Unfortunately it took quite a while longer until I was in a position to begin keeping my own, but I would never go back. My interest in mainly in understanding the differences in not only appearance but natural habitat of the different species. One day I hope to become a breeder of beautiful chelonians.
I pride myself on keeping my animals ethically, giving them as close to a natural diet as possible, suitable companionship and plenty of space to enjoy themselves in. My animals are firstly pets and part of my family as such they have a lot of time dedicated to them. When I focused on breeding rabbits I kept my does in a colony based system to mimic the way they would naturally live, this provided many hours of enjoyment simply watching them play and interact - I still have much information on this method of rabbit keeping available on this website. I now just keep a trio of the beautiful rare smoke pearl rabbits, and while I no longer show I may still occasionally have youngsters availble.
